The Southern Painting Family is committed to taking the necessary steps and precautions in keeping our customers, employees, and independent contractors healthy while making everyone feel as safe as possible during the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. To this end, we are taking the advice of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the World Health Organization and taking the appropriate precautions to ensure that, not only your health and safety are being protected, but our employees and independent contractors as well.
Practicing Good Hygiene Etiquette
The Sales Managers, Service Managers, and Independent Contractors from each Southern Painting franchise will be adhering to the following guidelines.
- Washing our hands with soap, for at least 20 seconds, numerous times throughout the day.
- Using hand sanitizer when available.
- Keeping a safe distance (3 feet) from people, and (6 feet) from people who are sneezing/coughing.
- Thoroughly cleaning the work area each day before leaving.
- Staying home when sick.
Keeping Our Customers Safe
- Before entering a customer’s home or property, we will communicate that we are healthy and ask if our customer is as well.
- Instead of shaking hands with a customer, we may say hello with a simple wave of the hand.
- Providing disinfecting wipes for jobs. Wiping down door handles, sink faucets and hard surfaces before the job starts and at the end of each day.
- Placing all used wipes in a trash can with a removable liner which will be placed outside the home.
- In some cases, wearing rubber gloves.
What Can You Do To Help?
- Let us know, in advance of your appointment, if you have any concerns or if you would like us to take special precautions.
- Inform us if anyone in the household has a current health issue, i.e. the flu or a cold.
- Let us know if you would like us to limit the amount of information we leave behind, and we can make adjustments or email information instead.
We encourage you to review additional information and guidelines available at www.CDC.gov, www.WHO.int, or your local health department website.
Your health and safety are important to us. Thank you for your trust and consideration of our Southern Painting Family.
