The painting contractors at Southern Painting have the skill and expertise to provide you with the right interior painting solutions for your home.  Before we arrive, we will ask you to remove lamps, knick-knacks, curtains, curtain rods, and floor lighting – we’ll do the rest!

Choosing Colors

At Southern Painting, we know that color sets a mood and can also make a room appear smaller (dark colors) or larger (light colors).  The perception of color appears to change with different lighting, i.e.,  sun/shade, day/night.

Color samples are recommended to ensure you will like the colors in your home.  Your Territory Manager will have fan decks for your perusal.

On larger interior painting experiences, Southern Painting offers one hour of color consultation, free of charge.  Additional color consultations are available at the customer’s expense.

Preparation

Our painting contractors will fully prepare the interior of your home and protect all of your belongings. Flooring is protected with drop cloths, Builder’s paper, or plastic and taped down at the edges.  Furniture is moved away from walls and protected with plastic or drop cloths.  Switch plates, outlet covers, and window blinds/shades are removed.  All surface mounted or hanging light fixtures, and all window glass is protected with plastic and/or painter’s tape.

General Repairs

Our painting contractors also have the skills to perform complex repairs in your home; these will be specifically noted on your estimate.  These include replacing or repairing sheet rock; scraping; taping; texturing; sanding; removing wall paper; and caulking cracks along door jambs, baseboards and ceiling crown.

Painting

At Southern Painting, we use only superior materials from Sherwin-Williams^®, Benjamin Moore^®, PPG Pittsburgh Paints^®, and other premium paint stores you know and trust.  Paint is applied by brush and roller whenever possible.  Acoustic texture a/k/a popcorn ceilings must be sprayed.

Clean Up

At the end of each work day, we will clean up and remove all supplies, tools, and trash. All trash is removed and disposed of properly off-site; we won’t pack your trash can full the day after the city empties it!  We will also put the furniture back where it belongs, rehang shades and blinds, and replace all switch plates and outlet covers.  When we leave, your room will be ready for you to enjoy!

Inspection

A formal walk through is conducted with you and a Southern Painting foreman and/or Project Manager to assure your complete satisfaction with our work. Our workmanship is guaranteed and backed by our 3-Year Limited Labor Warranty.
