How To Do: Purple

Purple is one of those tricky colors and Barney is partially to blame. If not done correctly, a room can look childish instead of regal. The below tips will help purple regain its rightful claim as a beautiful, regal color.

1. Orchid Purple was the color of 2018 for a reason. It is the perfect balance between not being too much of a Barney color but also light enough that it isn’t too darkening. It pairs nicely with neutrals for a modern touch, or other jewel toned hues for a regal look.

2. A pale lilac knows may be feminine, but it is not childish and instead is pure elegance.

3. A purple ceiling is another way to add some flare to a space, but not commit fully to the color.
