Steve MacMeeken

Steve MacMeeken owns and operates the Plano/Allen/McKinney and North Dallas/Richardson Southern Painting franchises. He recently expanded his Southern Painting role as the Area Director for the Frisco/Prosper/Celina, Texas and  Tampa/Hillsborough North, Florida franchises.

With more than 25 years of hands-on experience as a tradesman, Steve joined Southern Painting in 1993 and, by 2000, owned one of the first Southern Painting offices in Texas. Working alongside his brother, Rick, Steve plans on employing his proven methods of business success to help launch Southern Painting into the Florida market.

As a franchise owner, Steve knows that Southern Painting’s success depends upon integrity and customer service, which he has made the cornerstones of his business model.  Steve has worked diligently to develop his business to become the largest residential repaint office for Southern Painting in the DFW area.

Steve moved to Collin County in 1981 and before long, met and married Robyn and started their family. He has spent his life creating business opportunities for many people, but most importantly, created an environment that has allowed on of his sons and two of his brothers to join the family of Southern Painting.  As a true, family-operated business, Steve takes immense pride in serving his customers while continuing to successfully brand the Southern Painting family.

Alan Laurino

Regional Territory Manager

Alan Laurino is the Regional Territory Manager for Southern Painting in West Plano.  Born and raised in New York, Alan moved to Texas to join Southern Painting and has been with the Plano/Allen/McKinney division since 2004. His knowledge of what it takes to provide outstanding customer service, along with his business experience, have helped the Plano/Allen/McKinney office become the #1 Southern Painting region in Texas.

Alan understands the concept of getting the job done through a team effort.  Hard work and a dedication to customer satisfaction is the work ethic that Alan brings to the Southern Painting family.  Alan is a Godly man who loves gardening and spending time with his wife, their children, and grandchildren.

Eric Byrd

Regional Territory Manager

Eric Byrd is the Regional Territory Manager for Southern Painting in Plano, Allen, Lucas, Fairview, Parker, and East McKinney.  Eric is the perfect addition to the Southern Painting family because of his years of experience in the painting industry.  Eric started his career in 1980 as a painting contractor in Plano and, in 1986, opened and operated a paint dealership.  In 1991, Eric joined a major regional paint manufacture where he amassed extensive knowledge in applications and coatings thus making him all the more valuable to assist Southern Painting’s customers.

Eric is happily married to Kristi, who has been his lifelong friend.  They met in Allen, Texas where they both grew up.  Eric and Kristi have two daughters and two grandsons. Eric enjoys music, fishing, and painting making him a perfect fit at Southern Painting.

 

Christian MacMeeken

Operations Manager

Christian began working with Southern Painting in 2016 as an Operations Manager in the Plano/Allen/McKinney office.

Born and raised in Plano, Christian attended Plano Senior High School where he played on the hockey team.  With a love of the sport and his aptitude for it, Christian then went on to play for the Dallas Stars Junior Select for two years. Recruited by colleges to play hockey, it didn’t take long for Christian to see the future and opportunity offered when joining his father and uncles as a part of the family business with Southern Painting.

Christian has shown an immediate grasp of building strong relationships with customers, which makes him an asset to the company.  At this early stage of life, he has invested time to formulate a career path and is positioning himself to attain both his personal and professional goals.

Christian perceives that being invited to be a part of his family’s business is a privilege, and works every day to earn the respect of his peers and customers based on his performance and the value he brings to the table.

Miguel Chavez

Operations Manager

Miguel Chavez joined the Plano/Allen/McKinney Southern Painting team in mid-2016.  Miguel was born in Plano where he still happily resides.  After graduating from Plano East Senior High School, Miguel worked several full time jobs while also pursuing his education.  Along the journey, Miguel used to say, “I don’t know where I am going, but I know where I want to be!”  The place to be is Southern Painting where his many years of customer service experience and his professional goals have made him the perfect fit as an Operations Manager.  Miguel likes evaluating a problem and bringing a solution that results in Southern Painting customers being the most satisfied customers in the world.
