Steve MacMeeken owns the North Dallas/Richardson and Plano/Allen/McKinney Southern Painting franchises, and recently expanded his role as the Area Director for the Southern Painting office in Frisco/Prosper/Celina and the Tampa/Hillsborough North area of Florida.

With more than 35 years of hands-on experience as a tradesman, Steve joined Southern Painting in 1993 and, by 2000, owned one of the first Southern Painting offices in Texas. Working alongside his brothers, Dave and Rick, Steve plans on employing his proven methods of business success to help expand the Frisco/Prosper/Celina area and launch Southern Painting into the Tampa, Florida market.

As a franchise owner, Steve knows that Southern Painting’s success depends on integrity and customer service, which he has made the cornerstones of his business model. Steve has worked diligently to develop his business to become the largest residential repaint office for Southern Painting in the                                                                                      DFW area.

Steve moved to Collin County in 1981 and, before long, met and married Robyn and started their family. He has spent his life creating business opportunities for many people, but most importantly, creating an environment that has allowed his son and two of his brothers to join the family of Southern Painting. As a true, family-operated business, Steve takes immense pride in serving his customers while continuing to successfully brand the Southern Painting family.

 

 

JJ Barker

Sales Manager

Jonathan “JJ” Barker joined the Plano/Allen/McKinney Southern Painting team in the beginning of 2016 as an Operations Manager and began his work with the North Dallas/Richardson office soon after. JJ has been in the paint and drywall industry for over 16 years building a well-rounded background at Sherwin-Williams^®; all while tackling complex scopes of work with brush and roller in hand. Not one to shy away from getting things done, JJ takes pride in the scope of his experience in nearly every facet of the paint and drywall industry.

Along with his wife and their three boys, JJ moved to the Plano area in 2015. Shortly thereafter, he found this new opportunity at Southern Painting. Between the family atmosphere on the job and his role in ministry at his church in Little Elm, JJ sees a very bright future and long career ahead working alongside several of the most successful Southern Painting professionals in the business.

 

 

 

Rance Lewis

Sales Manager

Rance Lewis joined the Southern Painting team in mid-2018. Born and raised in Dallas, Rance graduated from Plano Senior High School and has resided in Collin County ever since.

Rance credits his positive outlook on life and the daily smile on his face to the life he has spent living with his sister and her disability. Her relentless pursuit to overcome her disability in mind, body, and spirit has encouraged Rance to devote his life to serving God, his family, friends, and community.

Before joining Southern Painting, Rance worked for three years as an Assistant Manager with PPG Pittsburgh Paints^® in the retail side of the global coatings industry.  This experience with  PPG Pittsburgh Paints^®  allowed him to sharpen his customer service experience, and it is that experience he brings to each Southern Painting customer, pledging to give them the best experience possible.
